Long Lake Management Plan

The Long Lake Management Plan is at last finished (March 2011) with links posted on our “Protect Our Lake” page.

Thanks to a lot of hard work and interest by the Healthy Lakes and Rivers Team and the people who participated in LLAA’s visioning session last August we now have a comprehensive plan to address Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) and water quality.  Our first project will be to complete a vegetative mapping of the littoral area of the lake.  We will also be installing a kiosk at the south public access point to educate people about AIS and Long Lake.

The AIS task force is chaired by Dave Anderson.  Water quality task force is chaired by Bill Cowman.  They are always looking for volunteers to assist with projects to enhance the quality of life on Long Lake.  If you can help in any way, please contact your local board member, Dave or Bill.

If you have any questions or concerns about the plan, please contact Larry Roberts.
