Fishing Season

Opening day of fishing for most species in Minnesota this year is May 12th. This is a link to the DNR's web page with opening day information:  http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fishing/seasons.html

Perhaps you have noticed these photos in the small slideshow of member photos posted on our right sidebar.   Fishing was apparently good last summer!

As told by Lou Schultz:
"We usually fish separately and we are like teenagers with our iPhones, texting each other.  The intelligent conversations usually go something like this:

Text - I just landed a 39 inch pike.
Question - What did you catch it on?
Answer - A hook
Question - Where did you catch it?
Answer - In the lip.
Response - Thanks.

John McKinney now has an iPhone and will be joining the other kids next summer with our texting.
We don't really have to grow up and act our age, do we?"

It seems we are only missing Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
