Long Lake 4th of July Flotilla (Boat Parade)
The Long Lake July 4th Flotilla is a long-standing community tradition where residents decorate their boats and cruise the lake together on Independence Day.
2026 Update: The flotilla was canceled due to weather conditions. We appreciate everyone who planned to participate and look forward to continuing the tradition in 2027.
About the Flotilla Tradition
The Long Lake Flotilla has been a fun way for neighbors and visitors to celebrate Independence Day together on the water. Decorated pontoons, family boats, and spectators from shore have made it a favorite Long Lake tradition.
Past Flotilla Highlights
While the 2026 event was canceled due to weather, here’s a look back at last year’s celebration.
The weather report was wind and possible thunderstorms, but on the 4th the sky seemed to clear at 3 and winds seemed a bit calmer. So the Flotilla was on! Many families motored over to New Frontier Resort to gather for the start of the Flotilla at 4 pm.
Most boats chose the southern route this year. We welcome ideas for encouraging more participation along the northern route in future flotillas.
