Protecting Long Lake for Future Generations
For more than 50 years, the Long Lake Area Association has worked with volunteers, local partners, and government agencies to protect Long Lake’s water, shoreline, fish, and wildlife while supporting its recreational use and enjoyment.
These efforts include water quality monitoring, aquatic invasive species prevention and management, fisheries and wildlife stewardship, and helping property owners protect shoreline habitat and water quality.
Working Together to Protect Long Lake
The LLAA Foundation provides significant financial support for this work, particularly watercraft inspections, AIS monitoring and management, and water quality monitoring. Grants and other funding sources also help support these efforts. Learn more about current grant funding.
Protecting Long Lake is a collaborative effort. LLAA’s partners include Henrietta Township, Hubbard Township, Hubbard County Environmental Services, the Hubbard County Coalition of Lake Associations (HCCOLA), Minnesota Coalition of Lake Associations (MNCOLA), and Minnesota Lakes & Rivers (MLR).
